A May weekend held in Australia's NSW Southern Highlands with 45mm and 32mm gauge live steam tracks suitable for main line, narrow gauge and vintage steamers for all to run on. Experience the camaraderie of like minded individuals and the exchange of ideas and opinions in the tradition of the Great Southern Steamup, GRITH and Wintersun.

This Steamup is run amongst the history, beauty and charm of the Southern Highlands and numerous attractions including the NSW Rail Museum at Thirlmere.
For comfort and insurance reasons, these Steamups are not open to the public - you will have to register beforehand to attend and do so by the weekend preceding the event.

Next Southern Highlands Steamup
The next SHSU is anticipated to be held over Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May 2026 with the a private garden railway steamup available on the Friday for those registering for at least one full day.
